BPR : FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI KESIAPAN PENGEMBANGAN BUSINESS PROCESS REENGINEERING DAN PENGAJUAN MODEL KONSEPTUAL

Business Process Reengineering (BPR) dianggap sebagai sebuah solusi untuk perbaikan yang radikal di dalam suatu organisasi. Namun, resiko tingkat kegagalan proyek BPR yang tinggi, membuat organisasi harus mempertimbangkan semua aspek proyek dengan teliti dan menyeluruh termasuk kesiapan sebelum melakukan BPR itu sendiri. Kesiapan suatu organisasi untuk melaksanakan BPR dianalisis melalui faktor-faktor kritis yang dirujuk sebagai indikator kesiapan, yaitu gaya kepemimpinan, komitmen manajemen puncak, penggunaan teknologi Informasi (IT), dan lingkungan kerja yang kolaboratif. Jika berdasarkan faktor kunci tersebut organisasi dinyatakan telah siap untuk melakukan BPR, proyek pun dapat dimulai. Jika perusahaan belum siap, maka proyek BPR harus ditunda. Atau dengan kata lain kesiapan merupakan kunci keberhasilan untuk proyek BPR.

E-COMMERCE : PENERAPAN MODEL E-COMMERCE PADA PELAYANAN YANG DIBERIKAN INDUSTRI MANUFAKTUR

Pola produksi manufaktur merupakan alur aliran produksi (transisi dari bahan mentah sampai barang jadi) dan atau fase kustomisasi (sesuai permintaan pelanggan) untuk merebut pasar serta memenuhi kebutuhan pelanggan yang sangat variatif. Hal tersebut membuat perusahaan-perusahaan diminta untuk cepat menyesuaikan antara informasi penjualan dan pemesanan agar produksi dan persediaan barang menjadi tepat waktu. Dikombinasikan dengan teknologi terbaru pada jaringan komunikasi selular dan smart mobile terminal (mobile e-commerce), manufaktur bisa membuat arus informasi untuk meningkatkan aliran dana dan logistik yang efisien serta mengurangi ketidakpastian yang disebabkan oleh penundaan informasi. Hal tersebut juga dapat meningkatkan efisiensi produksi sekaligus mempertahankan kualitas melalui respon yang tepat waktu untuk proses bisnis tersebut.

KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT : MEMPERTAHANKAN KEUNGGULAN KOMPETITIF MELALUI MANAJEMEN PENGETAHUAN (KM) YANG EFEKTIF

Proses pengembangan pengetahuan di dalam manajemen pengetahuan (knowledge management/KM) merupakan pendekatan yang terencana, sistematis dan terintegrasi untuk meningkatkan keefektivitasan elemen sumber daya manusia (Edvenson dan Malone, 1998). Minnone dan Turner (2009, 2010) telah mengidentifikasi hal-hal penting terkait yang turut mempengaruhi kesuksesan KM yaitu budaya perusahaan itu sendiri, modal intelektual (SDM), proses, dan strategi. Hal ini seperti yang dicontohkan oleh perusahaan olahraga terkemuka Nike. Nike (Ofek, 2010) telah mencontohkan kepada seluruh perusahaan yang ingin menguasai tren terkini bahwa caranya adalah dengan mencapai keunggulan kompetitif sebelum kompetitor lain melakukannya seperti yang dikemukakan oleh Malhotra (2005) dan hal ini dapat mereka lakukan melalui manajemen pengetahuan yang sangat baik.

ERP : DAMPAK BUDAYA ORGANISASI TERHADAP PROJEK PENGIMPLEMENTASIAN ERP

Sistem ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) adalah sebuah platform teknologi informasi yang diterapkan pada suatu perusahaan untuk membantu perusahaan tersebut dalam mendistribusikan dan mengatur data operasi secara menyeluruh mulai dari manager hingga pembuat keputusan (decision maker) pada organisasi tersebut. Implementasi dari sistem ERP dapat mengeinterupsi prosedur kerja yang telah ada dan memerlukan pengembangan metode baru untuk keperluan manajemen dan kontrol. Pengguna baru ERP harus berhati-hati dengan perbedaan budaya yang ada, antara perusahaan dengan yang tertanam pada ERP. Perusahaan harus memastikan bahwa untuk menanggulangi perbedaan itu, perusahaan memiliki budaya result oriented, open system dan employee oriented.

Beside all of activities and experiences I undergo, I also focus on my academics life. One of lecture that I'm taking now in 6th term is Management Information System. The discipline of Information Systems deals with how information and communications technology can be used to achieve strategic goals. The focus is on developing and using cutting-edge products to solve important organisational problems.

Information Systems (ENIE600024) has 3 credits.
